Michael Friedman > Street Singer-Santa Barbara, CA.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. The "luck" in this case was where this guy was sitting, juxtaposed with the taped-up old Martin guitar--and, of course, the fact that I was there with a camera at just that moment.

Truthfully, it was an accident, and I didn't spot the goofy irony in this shot until I got it home.

I think of it as my "Album Cover."

Michael Friedman > Knapp's Castle-Santa Barbara, CA. This is an old ruin in the Santa Barbara Hills. The story I heard is that it's what's left of a mansion that burned to the ground in a wildfire, leaving only the stonework. It once belonged to opera singer Lotta Lehmann.

There are several other photographs of Knapp's castle in my galleries.
